Cape Verde’s national airline TACV Transportes A&eactute;reos de Cabo Verde offer flights from a number of European locations: Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris, Porto, Verona and Lisbon, as well as Las Palmas in the Canaries and Boston in the US. Flights from Britain are available through connecting fares, offered by a number of operators. Other operators offering flights to the country include South African Airlines and TAP Air Portugal.

Flights from London to Sal take at least six hours, not taking into account changeover and waiting times in Lisbon. Boston to Sal clocks in at around eight hours. Sal is the only island with a jet-capable runway and as such is the only international airport available in Cape Verde. It offers everything that would be expected including taxi services into the city. Also offered are restaurants, banks and refreshments, amongst other things.
